The new Indian EV start-up, EeVe India, has announced the launch of its latest high-speed e-scooter called the EeVe Soul. Owned by the Bharat Group and based out of Odisha, the company’s flagship will hit Indian roads from 1st January 2022. EeVe India has priced the Soul e-scooter at INR 1.4 lakh (ex-showroom) after receiving approval from the ARAI.

The company also sells other products such as the Xeniaa, 4U, Wind, Your, and the Ahava, which are slow-speed e-scooters. The price tag for the aforementioned e-scooters ranges between INR 51,900, 70,900, and 81,900 (ex-showroom), respectively. Since these e-scooters sport a 25 kph top speed, none of them qualify for the Indian Government’s FAME II subsidy.

Along with another LED DRL on the front cowl, the e-scooter also sports body-coloured graphics and a LED taillight.

2022 EeVe Soul: Technical Specs & Charging

Powering the EeVe Soul is a 1200W Bosch motor with a lithium Ferrous Phosphate, swappable and detachable battery pack. This allows the e-scooter to sport a 40 kph top speed in Eco Mode and 60 kph in Sport Mode. EeVe has ensured to place the battery pack on the underside of the e-scooter instead of the floorboard. The e-scooter sports 90 section, 12-inch tubeless tires with Disc Brakes on both ends that offer CBS and EABS.

Focussing on rider comfort, the Soul e-scooter sports a telescopic front suspension along with a 4-step, fully-adjustable rear suspension. EeVe states that riders can fully charge the e-scooter via a regular office/home charger within 3-4 hours. Along with a 3-year standard warranty, the e-scooter offers GPS navigation, IoT facilities, a USB port, and an anti-theft system. Additionally, the e-scooter also sports a Bluetooth speaker, geo-tagging, geo-fencing, keyless go, central braking, and a reverse mode.

Future Plans

Upon launching its new flagship e-scooter, EeVe aims to invest INR 1,000 crore in a span of 2 years. The company has announced its extensive plans, such as increasing its production from 3 lakh units to 5 lakh units. These also include achieving a 50,000 unit sales target in the coming years to acquire a 10% market share.

Currently, EeVe has set up 150 dealerships and 300 sub-dealerships across the country with the aim to launch new products. The company has actively worked on setting up charging infrastructure and expanding its sales networks across India. In the past 2 years, the company has clocked in a cumulative sales figure of 12,000+ units.
