MapmyIndia has launched an offline navigation map for iOS and Android. Called NaviMaps, these offline maps are available for free, for a free trial run, and full-featured purchase can be made after the trial period of 3 days. It will show house level addresses for about 80 Indian cities.
Features of these offline navigation maps include house0level navigation, regional language voice guide in 10 languages and international navigation for Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Once purchased, NaviMaps can function without internet connection. This, will in return help reduce data charges applicable by network providers. The application will also provide (3) alternate routes to a selected destination along with route sharing functionality on Facebook, messages, email etc.
The application has house level data for all major Indian cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Jaipur.
On android, the full version can be purchased for Rs. 599, whereas on Apple’s iOS, one will have to shell out Rs. 620.
