834 HP Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe PHEV revealed

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-door Coupe PHEV via a virtual launch. The brand will physically introduce the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S PHEV. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-door Coupe comes with a combustion engine at the front and an Electric Drive Unit on the rear axle. The performance hybrid vehicle has been developed entirely in Affalterbach and bears the German brand’s latest E PERFORMANCE technology and name. 

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe – Design Highlights

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 E Performance 4-Door Coupe features a sporty four-door coupe design. The car features a low squat design with a low front section and a muscular bonnet. The GT 63 S comes with a characteristic front apron that draws its design inspiration from the two-door AMG GT. The sportscar also comes with a single mould cast grille design that blends with the overall dynamic design. The front apron also features three vertical fins integrated into the wheel arch coolers. 

Mercedes-AMG offers four matt paint finishes, five metallic finishes and two non-metallic finishes. The car also comes with a new AMG Night Package II or a combination of Night Package and Carbon Package. The GT 63 S E Performance also comes with 20 and 21-inch light-alloy wheels. The car also features fluted trapezoidal twin exhaust pipes and an “E PERFORMANCE” badge on the wings. 

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe – Powertrain 

Powering the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe will come with a 4.0-litre V8 Biturbo engine. The internal combustion engine comes paired with a permanently excited synchronous electric motor. The electric power unit comes with a high-performance battery pack. The engine features a fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system that channels power to the ground.

The electric motor can generate 204 Hp of power and comes with an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential. Combined, the GT 63 S E Performance motor produces 834 Hp of power and 1400 Nm of torque. From 0-100 kmph, the car takes just 2.9 seconds, and 0-200 kmph takes just less than ten seconds. The four-door coupe is capable of achieving a top speed of 316 kmph. 

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe – Features

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe comes with a standard Widescreen Cockpit. The car features the latest-generation MBUX multimedia system with AMG hybrid-specific displays and functions. The driver gets a plethora of features and displays for both the ICE and electric powertrains. An optional multimedia display is also available for passengers, and they can also view the energy flow of the power and torque. The sportscar also comes with a standard AMG Performance steering wheel with integrated control buttons. The cabin is also available with individual choice interior colours and Exclusive Nappa leather.
