In the coming months, the Indian market will get 6 major facelift updates. With the growing popularity of SUVs, automakers are now more inclined towards R&D of the SUV body type.
Kia Seltos Facelift
The Kia India will most likely give a facelift update for the Seltos by June or July this year. With this facelift, the Seltos will benefit from a redesigned grille and new headlamps with updated LED Daytime Running Lamps. The rear too gets some updates with new LED tail-lamps connected by a light bar. We will also see a reprofiled, dual-tone bumper with faux silver inserts. On the inside, the SUV will now get a new seamlessly connected, twin-screen layout and a revised centre console. Talking of features, the SUV could come equipped with an ADAS suite.
Tata Nexon Facelift
The country’s most popular SUV could get an update soon. Based on the Curvv ICE concept, the upcoming Nexon will have a completely new front and rear, and full-width LED light bars.
We will also get to see major changes to the interiors as well. As per reports, the Nexon facelift could get the all-new 125hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine while the 1.5-litre diesel mill will also continue.
Tata Harrier Facelift
Tata is working on the Harrier facelift. It will most likely borrow some styling elements from the Harrier EV concept showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo.
The Harrier was recently updated with new tech such as ADAS and a larger and improved touchscreen. But with the facelifted model we expect more to come, i.e., maybe a redesigned dashboard as well. The refreshed Harrier will continue with the 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel power mill. But, Tata could very well debut the new 170hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
Tata Safari Facelift
Following the Harrier update, we could also get to see Safari SUV receiving the same treatment. Thus, we could see a similar set of updates as the Harrier. Both SUVs will most likely continue to share their powertrain options.
Kia Sonet Facelift
After the Seltos, Kia could also roll out a mid-lifecycle update on the Sonet compact SUV. Test mules of the Sonet facelift were spied overseas for the first time a short while ago. We do not expect any significant exterior outlook changes. But the interiors get a major overhaul along with a step up in the equipment list. This mid-lifecycle update on the Sonet will only bring cosmetic updates and no changes to the mechanicals.
Hyundai Creta Facelift
We are aware that Hyundai has already given the Creta a facelift in markets like Indonesia and Russia. Thus an updated model will arrive in India only by early 2024. Noteworthy to mention, that the India-bound Creta, will look very different from versions that are sold abroad.
The Creta facelift will also get major revised interiors. It could also get new additions to its equipment list like a 360-degree camera and ADAS. Under the hood, the Creta facelift will carry forward the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines. But it will replace the current 140 HP, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with the new 160 HP, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. There are also talks of Hyundai bringing in an N-Line version of the Creta.
