The Indian Jawa-Yezdi community celebrated the 20th International Jawa-Yezdi in full flow. This time, the International Jawa-Yezdi Day ride saw record participation this year. More than 5000 riders attended events and club/dealership-organised rides across India. Thus, making it the largest Jawa-Yezdi Day to date.
The Event As It Happened
The turnout community included new Jawa and Yezdi riders along with classic Jawa and Yezdi owners. The event hosted in Bengaluru was the main highlight. The city also houses one of the biggest Jawa-Yezdi Kommunities in India. This year, a total of 1000 motorcycles and 1200 people gathered at the city’s famed St. Joseph’s School Ground.
Alongside gathering like-minded brand loyalists, the company also organised a host of engaging activities. This included on-site ‘Adventure Trail’, a display of iconic Jawa and Yezdi models and live music performances. Alongside this, there were other competitions like ‘Tug of War’, best-restored motorcycle, best-maintained motorcycle, and highest distance travelled on Jawa and Yezdi models for the participants. The increase in participation is a positive indicator of the growing love and passion for the brands and the motorcycles. Jawa-Yezdi will take this as a motivation to contribute more towards making this bond stronger and the Kommuniti larger.
