Just within two months of commencing the deliveries, Kia India has stated that 400 units of its recently launched Carnival Limousine have been delivered. At the starting price of INR 63.9 lakhs and only one trim available, the luxury recreational vehicle has also received 3,350 bookings. This has led to a waiting period of more than six months.
Kia India also revealed intentions to introduce the Kia Syros, its next model, on December 19. Let’s see the powertrain and features of the Kia Carnival, which has led to its demand on the market.
Kia Carnival powertrain:
The Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 190 bhp of power and 441 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Further, three driving modes have been offered: Eco, Normal and Sport.
Kia Carnival Features:
The Kia Carnival has 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlights and L-shaped LED DRLs. An LED light bar connects the taillights with the L shape at the back. The car comes in 4 colour options, which include Navy and Misty Gray, Tuscan and Umber, and Glacier White Pearl and Fusion Black.
The interior has a 2+2+3 seating arrangement, captain chairs in the second row, and adjustable leg support. An 11-inch head-up display, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, wireless charging pods, a 12-way powered driver’s seat, a 4-spoke steering wheel, two electric sunroofs, and three-zone climate control are also provided.
Kia Carnival safety features:
When it comes to safety features, the carnival gets an ADAS Level 2 suite, eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, a rear disc brake system, ESC, Hill Assist Control, a tyre pressure monitor, and front, rear, and side parking sensors.
Its ADAS feature includes lane departure warning, lane keep assist, front collision warning and avoidance assist, high beam assist and adaptive cruise control.
