The Kawasaki Ninja 250R is known to be the best quarter litre sportsbike available in the market. In India, Kawasaki replaced the Ninja 250R with the Ninja 300 sometime back. Now, images have emerged on the internet suggesting that Kawasaki might be working on a new Ninja 250R, which could sport a 4-cylinder engine layout.
There were rumours that the Kawasaki might introduce a 4-cylinder motorcycle, but there is no confirmation on this yet. While performance figures might get a huge bump, so will the price. The Ninja 300 is already overpriced in India by a huge margin, and this new engine setup would be far more expensive, or chances are, it just won’t make it to the Indian market.
On the styling front, the bike sports a sharper front end. Sleeker headlamps at the front are noticeably different from the current Ninja 300 being sold in India. Side fairing is also sharper and points forward. Tank is sculpted and the black frame is exposed between the fairing and the tank. Rear view mirror design is similar to those on the existing model but the front windscreen is slightly smoked out. Front tyre sports a single disc brake setup.
More details should emerge in the coming months with more spyshots making their way on the internet. Tell then, a 4-cylinder entry level motorcycle sounds like a good deal for enthusiasts, doesn’t it?
