WardWizard Innovations and Mobility Limited, under the brand name ‘Joy e-bike’, announces its sales report for November 2021. The company sold a total of 3,290 units for the given month, thus recording its highest ever monthly sales. The festive season did help boost the sales figure to its all-time high. The figure for November 2020 was 255 units, and hence the growth rate stood at a staggering 1,190 per cent. The demand for electric two-wheelers is growing at an exponential rate in India. The rise in fuel prices is compelling the customers to make a shift away from ICE vehicles.
Joy E-Bike November 2021 Highlights
The company mentioned that their low-speed models are selling in good numbers, both for the urban and semi-urban regions. Starting from April 2021 to November 2021, the company has sold over 13,516 units. This translates to a growth of 590 per cent when compared to the same period last year. The company is also expanding its network at a healthy pace so as to serve more customers. Joy E-Bike recently inaugurated its new Global Headquarters in Vadodara. In addition to this, the company is also adding company-owned outlets aimed at enhancing the in-showroom customer experience.
Electric Scooters Demand Rises
With the influx of numerous EV companies in the country, customers now have a plethora of options. Moreover, this is also causing healthy competition, which will benefit the customers in the longer run. The central government, along with various state governments, have also introduced EV-centric policies. This does provide a lot of confidence to the customers to make their switch to e-mobility. Moreover, there’s also a huge environmental benefit of zero tailpipe emissions concerned with EV. And this is a major positive point given the rising air pollution in almost every metropolitan city.
The one area where there’s a lot of work to be done is the charging infrastructure. If we compare the rise in the number of EVs with that of charging stations, there’s a lot of disparity. But, with major players like Ola, Ather and Hero MotoCorp entering the segment, we can expect some improvement in this area as well.
