2nd generation Audi Q5 launched in India for INR 53.25 lakh

Audi has launched the 2nd generation Q5 crossover in India and prices begin from INR 53,25,000 ex-showroom. Audi claims that the Q5 combines the sportiness of an Audi sedan with an SUV character to suit our market needs.

The new Q5 measures, 4663 mm in length, 1893 mm in width, 1659 mm in height and features a single frame grille, large air intakes, LED headlamps with dynamic turn lights at the back, new lightweight chassis, 0.30 cd, panoramic sunroof, 18″ alloy wheels and rear view mirror with electric folding, heated, kerb function and auto dimming.

Inside, you have new colour theme with a 3-way split for the rear seat, adjustable rear seat back angle, leather upholstery, 4-way lumbar support, boot space of 550/610 expandable up to 1,550 litres volume & electrically opening & closing tailgate.

For the speedo console, you get the Audi virtual cockpit with a 31.24 cm display, new MMI with touchpad with touchpad & 21.08 cm screen, 3-zone climate control, wireless charging for your phone, and a few more gimmicks.

Driver aids include hill descent assist, rear view camera with front & rear sensors, cruise control, electric park brake, etc.

Powering the Audi Q5 is the new 35 TDi engine which has a 140 kW power output & 400 Nm torque output with a claimed fuel economy of 17.01 kmpl. The new Q5 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 218 kmph. Engine is matched to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and the Q5 obviously gets Quattro AWD system with wheel-selective torque control

Audi brings in new lightweight five-link suspensions at the front and rear, newly developed electromechanical power steering, Audi Drive Select dynamic handling system with new off-road mode and adaptive suspension with damper control

Safety features include 8 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, & immobilizer.
