Hyundai new hybrid and EV models – All details

At the recently conducted HMI (Hyundai Motor India) Investor Day 2025, the company revealed its upcoming product launch roadmap for the next five years.

The brief announcement included the reveal of the introduction of 26 new models for the Indian car market. All of these models are scheduled to be launched by the end of this decade.

As far as the details are concerned, the new models will include 20 ICE models, which will further include the facelift models and new Strong Hybrid cars. Meanwhile, a total of 6 EV models will also be launched subsequently in India.

The first product from the new 26 model portfolio will be launched as early as September 2025. It is most likely to be a Strong Hybrid ICE model, which will also become the first hybrid Hyundai in India.

Moreover, the company is on schedule for its third production plant setup, which is currently ongoing in Talegaon, Pune, Maharashtra.

The third production facility will house the new EV models and Hybrid models, and it is likely to get operational by Q3 2030. Meanwhile, the company posted its highest-ever domestic SUV contribution at 68%.

Our verdict

The introduction of Hybrid technology in the Hyundai models will ramp up the competition and the SUV segment in India. Currently, its star SUVs, like the Creta and Venue, do not have a hybrid powertrain. The new roadmap is likely to expand the powertrain portfolio of these popular models.
