Renault Duster 7-seater: What to expect?
Based on the new-gen Duster, the 7-seater model is an extended version of the same chassis, but with large overhangs. It is scheduled to make its global debut in Latin America on July 10, 2025.
As visible in the heavily camouflaged spy shots, the 7-seater Duster will get a muscular overall silhouette, with an identical front and rear shape to the 5-seater Duster. However, there will be slight changes to the elements like bumpers and grille, to make it distinctive.
The side profile shows the test car running on big chunky 19-inch alloy wheels, body claddings, and regular door handles. It also has the front radar and 360-degree cameras, indicating the level 2 ADAS safety equipment.
On the inside, the Duster 7-seater model will feature twin 10-inch displays for the instrument console and infotainment, respectively. We suspect that it will come as a fully loaded car with features like wireless phone connectivity, wireless charging, dual-zone auto AC, panoramic sunroof, a mini refrigerator, and more.
Mechanically, it will use the same powertrain as the 5-seater Duster. We expect it to feature a strong hybrid engine and an AWD system.
Speaking of its India launch, we do not anticipate it to land here before 2026-end. Currently, Renault is testing the new-gen Duster, and its launch timeline has not been revealed.
However, the possibility of the 7-seater Duster can not be denied in India as its competitors are also developing 7-seater models, for example, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-seater.
Our verdict
The upcoming Duster 7-seater model is highly anticipated in the global markets. It will be identical to the Dacia Bigster and offer more comfort and convenience features as compared to the 5-seater Duster model.
