2025 Tata Altroz facelift – What to expect?

The latest spy photos of the upcoming Altroz facelift model have surfaced online. While the test car is seen completely camouflaged in the leaked photos, its side profile shows the new multi-spoke design of the alloy wheels, which looks inspired by the new-gen Tata cars like the Safari Stealth.

These alloy wheels are probably machined and dual-tone and are likely to be offered on the top-trim levels. Additionally, the updated model has a reworked front fascia with a new headlamp design, an aggressive bumper, and a reshaped grille.

Carrying the similar updates to the rear, the test car seems to have an updated bumper design and probably a set of new LED taillamps.

Not long ago, a similar test car was also spotted, which gave a glimpse of the cabin design. The cabin, as we expect, is largely going to remain unchanged. However, new features like a bigger infotainment screen and ventilated seats might find their way on the new model.

Under the bonnet, its current powertrain options will be offered as it is. The current model is equipped with multiple engine options, including a naturally-aspirated petrol, a CNG, a turbo-petrol, and a turbo-diesel.

Considering the low demand and sales of the Altroz brand, we expect Tata to keep the pricing aggressive for the facelift model.

As far as the launch date is concerned, it is likely going to debut around the festive season later this year.

Our verdict

The Altroz hatchback is a sorted car in terms of safety, space, dynamics, and design. However, it overlaps the Tata Punch price bracket, which makes it less desirable among a large pool of SUV-loving buyers.
