2025 Suzuki Swift Sport will pump 150 PS and use mild-hybrid tech

Written by News Team

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift was recenlty introduced and now Suzuki has started working on the 2025 Suzuki Swift Sport. This new model promises to deliver an exhilarating driving experience, thanks to its enhanced powertrain and cutting-edge mild-hybrid technology.

Power and Performance

The 2025 Suzuki Swift Sport will be powered by a significantly upgraded 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine, which has been a staple in the Swift Sport lineup, now boasts an impressive output of 150 PS and 240 Nm of torque. The addition of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system further enhances the vehicle’s performance, contributing an extra 15 PS and 59 Nm of torque. This combination not only improves acceleration but also enhances fuel efficiency and reduces emissions.

Drivers will have the choice between a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. The car will maintain its front-wheel-drive layout

Dimensions and Weight

The new Swift Sport will measure 3,990 mm in length, 1,750 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. Despite its larger dimensions compared to the standard Swift, the Swift Sport will have a kerb weight of just 960 kg. This lightweight construction, combined with the powerful engine, will result in an impressive power-to-weight ratio.

Design and Features

While specific design details are yet to be fully revealed, the 2025 Swift Sport is expected to feature aggressive styling cues that set it apart from the standard Swift. Expect sporty bumpers, larger alloy wheels, and distinctive body graphics that highlight its performance-oriented nature. Inside, the Swift Sport will likely offer a driver-focused cockpit with sport seats, a multifunction steering wheel, and advanced infotainment options.

Market Availability

The 2025 Suzuki Swift Sport is anticipated to launch in international markets by late 2024 or early 2025. However, it is unlikely to be introduced in India. We think Suzuki shoud reconsider that as there is growing demand for high performance hatchbacks like the Hyundai i20 N-Line and the Tata Altroz Racer. In Japan, the Swift Sport is expected to be priced between 2.3 million to 2.5 million yen (approximately INR 13.56 lakh to INR 14.74 lakh).
