2025 Royal Enfield Bear 650 fully revealed in spy shots, looks good or bad?

Written by News Team

Royal Enfield has recently unveiled spy shots of its upcoming 2025 Bear 650, a scrambler motorcycle based on the popular Interceptor 650. The images show the bike without any camouflage.

Design and Styling

The Bear 650 retains the classic Royal Enfield design elements, such as the round LED headlight, peanut-shaped fuel tank, and a single-piece seat with a tubular grab rail. However, it introduces some new features, including a revised tail light and turn indicator setup. The bike rides on a 19-17-inch spoke wheel combination, providing a taller stance and higher ground clearance, making it suitable for off-roading. It also features a scambler-styled exhaust pipe and block pattern tyres to take on those rough roads. It also gets oval-shaped side panels, taking inspiration from the original Triumph Scrambler.

Engine and Performance

Powering the Bear 650 is the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine found in the Interceptor 650, delivering robust performance. The bike is expected to come with a six-speed gearbox, offering a smooth and engaging riding experience. The spy shots also hint at updated hardware, including USD front forks and dual rear shocks, which should enhance ride quality and handling.

Market Reception and Expectations

The Bear 650 is set to debut at the 2024 Motoverse event in India, and early reactions to the spy shots have been mixed. Some enthusiasts appreciate the bike’s rugged and retro design, while others feel it lacks the modern aesthetics seen in competitors’ offerings. The success of the Bear 650 will largely depend on how well it balances classic Royal Enfield charm with contemporary features.

Competition and Positioning

In the competitive scrambler segment, the Bear 650 will face rivals like the Kawasaki W800 and the Honda CB650R. Royal Enfield’s challenge will be to convince buyers that the Bear 650 offers a unique blend of style, performance, and off-road capability.
