Porsche 911 Carrera 4S facelift changes explained
The new Carrera 4S is basically an AWD version based on the popular Carrera S. The 2025 facelift, called 992.2 911 Carrera 4S, features minor design changes but substantial interior and mechanical upgrades.
On the outside, it looks more or less similar to the Carrera S, as it is equipped with staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. With the iconic oval Porsche headlights and the sloping rear-end design, it features curved wheel arches and large intakes.
Porsche is offering the new Carrera 4S in three body styles: Coupe, Cabriolet, and Targa. The Coupe comes with standard two seats, while buyers can opt for 2+2 seating as an option. Meanwhile, the Cabriolet and Targa are equipped with the standard four seats.
On the inside, it features leather treatment on the seats, headrests, dashboard, and door pads, which is missing on the Carrera S. Features include wireless charging, drive modes, Matrix LED headlamps, ambient lights, and more.
Powering the new Carrera 4S is the 3.0-litre, flat-six, twin-turbo petrol engine sourced from the Carrera S. However, it develops 480 bhp of peak power, which is 30 bhp more than the outgoing model. Other specs include an RWD, an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a peak torque of 529 Nm.
Performance-wise, it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, while the top speed is claimed to be 307 km/h with the optional Sport Chrono Pack and Launch Control System.
The top-spec Carrera 4S Targa is also equipped with the standard rear-wheel steering, while the Coupe and Cabriolet variants can be equipped with it as an option. Other options include the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and a sport suspension pack to lower the height by 10 mm.
Our verdict
The new Carrera 4S model is scheduled to launch phase-wise in all the prominent markets, including India, by the end of this year. The new Carrera 4S will be positioned below the Carrera 4 GTS T-Hybrid, which is priced at Rs 2.84 crore.
