2025 Nissan Patrol Nismo: What is special?

Nissan Patrol Nismo

Based on the top-spec Patrol model, the new Nismo Patrol Y63 features a Nismo-E-tuned 3.5-litre, V6, twin-turbo petrol engine, which makes 495bhp (for Middle East) and 700 Nm of peak power and torque. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, available with paddle-shifters.

Hardware-wise, it features a Nismo-tuned air suspension for better cornering ability and high speed stability. Additionally, it is equipped with a V-shaped front grille with air splitters that divert the air towards the radiator and the brake calipers to cool them by 6%.

Moreover, the electronic power steering has been specifically tuned to provide a sports car-like experience to the driver at high speeds and during the cornering.

To further enhance the performance, it gets special 22-inch alloy wheels co-developed with RAYS, which are 23% lighter than the regular wheels. Nissan has wrapped these alloys with high-performance tyres to provide the best performance in the segment.

It also gets a special Stealth Grey dual-tone exterior colour option, along with standard 4 colour options.

On the inside, the Patrol Nismo gets a race-inspired cabin theme with black and red leather upholstery. The dashboard, centre console, and door pads feature sporty red highlights, carbon fibre touches, and aluminium pedals.

Meanwhile, the seats feature red stitching along with Nismo badging and quilted red leather pattern, which matches the V-shape front grille. Moreover, the push button start/stop switch is painted in red, similar to the sports cars.

Our verdict

The new Patrol Nismo offers an exciting package for performance lovers who also like the practicality of an SUV. Additionally, it gets the most powerful engine ever, which further makes it a special car to own. Nissan is considering to launch the Patrol in India by the end of this year or early next year.
