MG Motor India has introduced the 2025 MG Comet EV, offering updated features and fresh design enhancements at an attractive starting price of INR 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers opting for the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan can also enjoy a pay-per-use model at INR 2.5 per kilometer. The refreshed Comet EV aims to further strengthen its foothold as a smart and practical urban mobility solution.
2025 MG Comet EV – what’s new?
The Comet EV is now available in five variants—Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge, Exclusive, and Exclusive Fast Charge. Key upgrades include the addition of a rear parking camera and power-folding outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) on the Excite and Excite Fast Charge variants. Premium features such as leatherette seats and a four-speaker audio system now grace the Exclusive and Exclusive Fast Charge variants, elevating cabin comfort and experience.
2025 MG Comet EV – powertrain
The Comet EV continues to be powered by a 17.4 kWh battery pack, offering a maximum driving range of 230 km on a single charge (claimed). The Fast Charge variants stand out for their efficiency, making the Comet EV a strong contender in the urban EV market. Its compact dimensions remain ideal for city commutes, and its design retains the futuristic edge, now highlighted by dual-tone color schemes.
2025 MG Comet EV Blackstorm
In February 2025, the lineup saw the addition of the Comet BLACKSTORM Edition, priced at INR 7.80 lakh. This variant features a bold Starry Black exterior with dark chrome accents and red highlights. Inside, the BLACKSTORM Edition includes custom embroidered seats, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, an equally large digital instrument cluster, and wireless smartphone connectivity. The special edition adds even more exclusivity to the growing Comet EV family.
MG e-Shield
MG Motor India’s e-Shield ownership package ensures peace of mind for buyers. It includes a comprehensive warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometers, 3 years roadside assistance (RSA), 3 free labor services for the first scheduled maintenance. An 8-year/1.2 lakh-kilometer battery warranty is also included. These offerings aim to make EV ownership hassle-free and cost-effective.
