2025 Maruti Swift Hybrid – complete details
The spied test mule of the Maruti Swift looks identical to the Indian-spec model initially. But, look closer and one can easily spot the sporty bumpers and new alloy wheels. Additionally, it is also equipped with all four disc brakes. However, the interesting bit is the presence of a radar module on the front grille; indicating the ADAS equipment.
The specific test mule might be doing a city run for the ADAS testing. While there was no ‘Hybrid’ badge on it, a similar test car was spotted earlier with a ‘Hybrid’ badge. Maruti plans to introduce a new series of hybrid tech in Swift but it is scheduled for debut by late 2027.
Meanwhile, the ADAS unit looks interesting as the possibility of Maruti equipping it in the Indian model is higher. Maruti might be eyeing on a 5-star BNCAP crash test rating, and therefore, the ADAS module is being tested.
For now, the new Swift that is on sale is offered with a single Z-series 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. The price range of the new model of Swift starts from Rs 6.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.60 lakh ex-showroom.

Our verdict
The Maruti Swift is one of the most popular hatchbacks around the globe. The new model offers the latest connected technology as well as supreme fuel efficiency along with the options of CNG and petrol powertrain. The Swift Hybrid with ADAS features can become successful in India, but, if it is launched, the pricing is going to be higher than the current model.
