Key highlights

  • The 2025 Hyundai Venue has been spotted testing in India, revealing a Creta-inspired front fascia with L-shaped LED DRLs and a redesigned grille.
  • The SUV will retain its 1.2L petrol, 1.5L diesel, and 1.0L turbo-petrol engine options, paired with manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Expected to launch during the festive season of 2025, with a slight price increase over the current model.

Hyundai is preparing to launch the next-generation Venue, and fresh spy shots from India reveal significant design updates. The compact SUV, which has been spotted testing near New Delhi and Pune, now showcases a front-end inspired by the Creta, aligning with Hyundai’s latest design philosophy.

Creta-inspired styling and exterior changes

The 2025 Venue adopts Hyundai’s new design language, featuring a split headlamp setup with L-shaped LED DRLs. The twin-block LED headlights are integrated into the lower grille, which now sports horizontal slats similar to the Creta N Line.

At the rear, the Venue gets twin L-shaped LED taillights, mirroring the Creta’s styling. While the connected LED light bar remains unconfirmed, the SUV does feature silver skid plates and a new alloy wheel design.

Interior and feature expectations

While interior images are yet to surface, reports suggest the 2025 Venue will receive a major cabin overhaul. Expected upgrades include:

  • Larger infotainment touchscreen with Hyundai’s latest UI.
  • Fully digital instrument cluster with customizable themes.
  • Panoramic sunroof, a first for the Venue.
  • Ventilated front seats for added comfort.

Powertrain and performance

Hyundai will retain its existing engine lineup, including:

  • 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol (82 bhp, 113.8 Nm, 5-speed manual).
  • 1.5L diesel (114 bhp, 250 Nm, 6-speed manual).
  • 1.0L turbo-petrol (118 bhp, 172 Nm, 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT).

The radar module spotted on the front grille hints at ADAS Level-2 capabilities, including blind spot detection, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Market position and expected pricing

The 2025 Venue will continue to rival the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV3XO, and Skoda Klyaq. Given the feature additions, Hyundai is expected to increase pricing slightly, with the base model starting around INR 8 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai is likely to launch the next-gen Venue during the festive season of 2025, possibly around September or October.
