The newly introduced Transalp XL750 adventure-tourer bike gets a new front fascia. The old headlamp is now gone as it has been replaced by a new set of dual-projector LED lights.

Additionally, the windscreen is now bigger and it is made from bio-engineered plastic by Durabio. The new windscreen also features an aero dam, which is to reduce the buffeting effect for the rider during high speeds.

Honda has also added a new colour palette to the Transalp XL750, called Pearl Deep Mud Gray.

Another addition is the re-tuning of the front and rear suspensions. While the hardware remains unchanged, the suspension re-tuning has been done to offer a more subtle ride quality on every terrain.

With the new design change and suspension re-tuning, the total kerb weight of the bike has increased by 2 kg, which now stands at a total of 210 kg.

Mechanically, it remains unaltered as it continues using the 755cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, which is mated to a 6-speed transmission. This powerhouse generates 90 bhp and 75 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively.

Moreover, the feature list is also unchanged from the previous model. The XL750 offers a colour TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity supporting navigation, SMS/call alerts, ride modes, traction modes, and other critical information display.

Honda has also revealed the updated pricing for the Japanese market, which is now up by 55,000 Yen (approx. Rs 32,000). The new Transalp XL750 is expected to debut in India later this year with a slight increase in the pricing.

Our verdict

The Honda Transalp XL750 is a good middle-weight adventure bike. It features a nimble and agile chassis, a durable and peppy engine, and good ride quality. However, it is positioned on the pricier side in India, and not to mention its lack of tubeless tyres is also a downside for customers.
