Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have introduced the all-new Honda SP160 at the starting price of INR 1,21,951 ex-showroom. This motorcycle will come in two variants, and four colour options.
Engine:
It comes with an OBD2B-compliant 162.71 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine. This engine unit generates 9.7 kW of power at 7500 rpm and 14.58 Nm of torque at 5250 rpm. A gearbox with five speeds is matched with the motor.
Honda SP160 colour options and variants:
Radiant Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, and Athletic Blue Metallic are the four colour options available. Further, the dual-disc and single disc are the variant options available.
Features:
In terms of features and equipment, the Honda SP160 has a 4.2-inch TFT Display with Bluetooth connectivity and the Honda RoadSync app. This TFT display shows a fuel level readout, average fuel consumption, gear position indicator and side stand indicator. It is also equipped with halogen indicators, a single-channel ABS, LED headlamps and taillights and a type-C USB port.
The Honda SP160 is supported by a mono-shock at the rear and telescopic forks up front. Depending on the model you select, the rear receives either a 220mm disc or a 130mm drum for braking, while the front receives a 276mm disc.
The Honda SP 160 starts at INR 1,21,951 ex-showroom, while the Honda SP 125 starts at INR 91,771 ex-showroom, however, the segments are different. You get motorcycles that seem similar, which is a drawback for SP 160 owners because people often expect something different when they are spending a significant amount of money. It takes some work to tell the two apart, though, as you will notice subtle changes along the side profile. Although it would not matter to others, I believe Honda should have provided a different option for customers who were willing to pay more for their vehicles.
