2025 Honda Scoopy scooter details
The Scoopy scooter is Honda’s style statement for rivals like the Vespa scooters in the global markets. Like its unique name, the Scoopy features a unique neo-retro design as well.
The main design highlights of the Scoopy scooter include the round headlamp and taillight, D-shaped turn indicators, round mirrors, a single seat, and a dual-tone colour for the footboard area.
In terms of features, Scoopy is equipped with LED lights, a digital LCD console, Smart Key with keyless ignition, and an anti-theft alarm.
Scoopy is suspended over a telescopic front suspension and shock absorbers at the rear. Globally, Scoopy is offered with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, while featuring a single-channel ABS.
Powering Scoopy is a familiar 109.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which develops 9 bhp and 9.2 Nm of peak power and peak torque, respectively. It is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.
Speaking of its Indian debut, we suspect it is highly unlikely to happen. Honda has earlier patented numerous designs, but none of those products made it to production or launch in India.
Our verdict
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has relied heavily on its star product Activa, for years. However, besides Activa, the brand has a slim to no product portfolio that sells in good numbers. While Scoopy might not make it to the Indian market, we sincerely hope that Honda brings a good entry-level performance motorcycle like the CBR300R.
