2025 Honda CB650R – complete details

The new CB650R is based on the 2025 CBR650R sports tourer bike. However, being a naked sports bike, it has a different design and outlook. The riding posture is fairly relaxed while the upright handlebar is complemented by the neo-retro round LED headlight.

While it may look different from the CBR650R, a lot of components and technical aspects are shared between the two sibling motorcycles. For instance, the engine used is the same 649cc liquid-cooled inline-four that the CBR650R also uses. It makes 964 bhp of peak power and 63 Nm of peak torque output. It comes mated to a silky 6-speed gearbox and a slipper-assist clutch for a seamless riding experience.

The hardware of the bike includes USD telescopic forks at the front and a pre-load adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. Both of these units are made by SHOWA to offer a stable yet comfortable riding experience, especially inside the city limits.

The features list has also been updated on the new bike as it gets a 5-inch TFT console that comes with a revised user interface. This console also supports Bluetooth connectivity, offering SMS/call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation support as well.

Meanwhile, Honda has not officially spoken on the delivery timeline, but we are assuming that the new model bikes will be delivered in March.
