Bajaj Auto has officially launched the 2025 Dominar 400 and Dominar 250, bringing a host of electronic and ergonomic enhancements to its popular sports touring lineup. The new models aim to elevate long-distance riding with factory-fitted touring accessories, advanced rider aids, and improved comfort.

The Dominar 400 is priced at INR 2,38,682, while the Dominar 250 comes in at INR 1,91,654, both ex-showroom Delhi.

Tech Upgrades: Ride-by-wire and ride modes

The Dominar 400 now features Ride-by-Wire via an Electronic Throttle Body (ETB), enabling four selectable riding modes:

  • Road
  • Rain
  • Sport
  • Off-Road

These modes adjust throttle response and ABS intervention to suit varying terrain and weather conditions.

The Dominar 250, while retaining a Mechanical Throttle Body (MTB), gets four ABS-enabled ride modes, enhancing safety and control.

Touring accessories and ergonomics

Both models now come equipped with:

  • Bonded glass LCD speedometer with integrated flap for glare reduction and weather protection
  • Redesigned handlebar for improved long-distance comfort
  • Carrier with GPS mount, allowing easy navigation setup
  • Advanced control switches for seamless mode toggling

These additions make the new range touring-ready straight from the showroom, eliminating the need for aftermarket modifications.

Engine and performance

Mechanically, both bikes remain unchanged:

  • Dominar 400: 373.3cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 39.4 bhp and 35 Nm
  • Dominar 250: 248.8cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivering 26.6 bhp and 23.5 Nm

Both are paired with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch, tuned for highway cruising and city agility.

Our thoughts

This is Bajaj flexing its touring muscles. The Dominar 400 was already a solid mile-muncher, but now it’s got the brains to match the brawn. A new tech overhaul would go a long way to keep up with the competition and keep the sales chart ticking.
