2024 Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S Review

Yamaha recently introduced the new Version S on the brand’s popular Maxi-Scooter the Aerox 155. The Yamaha Aerox 155 had already been upgraded with a traction control system which now comes as standard. However, the Aerox Version S also gets a new Smart Key and is priced at INR 1,50,900 ex-showroom, Delhi which is about INR 3,300 more expensive than the standard model.

Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S – What’s New?

The Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S comes with Smart Key with Answer Back. The Answer Back feature allows the user to help locate the Aerox 155 Version S by tapping a button on the key fob. This feature is useful especially in a busy parking lot as the scooter not only sends out an audible beep but also blinks its indicator lamps to help the owner find the scooter.

In addition to this, the Aerox 155 Version S also gets a new ignition console. The new ignition console does not require the user to insert a key into it. Instead, by just keeping the key fob in your pocket you can unlock the handlebar, turn the ignition On and even ride the Aerox 155. Accessing the under seat storage as well as the fuel filler now takes place without using a physical key.

Powering the Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S is a 155cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke, SOHC single-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The E20 fuel compatible engine produces 15 PS of power and 13.9 Nm of torque paired to a V-Belt automatic transmission. The Aerox Version S comes with 26mm telescopic front fork, sual shock absorbers on the rear a single 230mm disc brake on the front and a 130mm mechanical drum brake on the rear. The Maxi-Sport scooter also comes with 14 inch alloy wheels shod in 140/70 rear and 110/80 wide front tyres.
