Tata has revealed the new Curvv ICE which is set to become India’s first SUV coupe. The brand has revealed that the Curvv SUV Coupe comes with a premium design as well as practicality and will be available with both petrol and diesel option. In addition this, the Tata Curvv will also come with a plethora of active and safety features as well as comfort and convenience technologies. This includes several segment first features and advanced infotainment systems with connectivity features.
The Tata Curvv blend practicality of a car along with the robustness of an SUV and the brand says that the Curvv is the new-age SUV. The Curvv features a sporty silhouette with its roof sloping back far into the tailgate. The front of the Curvv is also imposing and features bumper mounted headlamps as well as LED light bars that connect the fascia across its bonnet shutline. The rear end also reverberates well with the front and comes with connected LEDs.
Something New
The SUV Coupe body style is contrast to the conventional boxy design that has become quite common in the mid-SUV market. Tata also reveals that the raised ride height and robust cladding that the Curvv comes with contributes to the dynamic proportions of the Coupe SUV. The aerodynamic theme has also trickled down into the production model, which was demonstrated in the concept car, revealed Tata.
Designed to be Practical
The Curvv SUV will not only come with a planted stance, but also get high approach and departure angles as well as a higher ground clearance. The large wheels also allow the Coupe SUV to glide over rough surfaces with ease. Also, the Curvv has been designed keeping in mind the Indian family audience. The car also comes with uncluttered interiors and a spacious cabin with lots of storage space. The car also features a panoramic sunroof that offers a sense of openness and freedom.
Launch Timeline and Prime Competitor
Tata has announced that the all-new Curvv will make its market debut on the 7th August 2024 and will be available first in the all-electric version followed by the ICE powertrain Curvv. However, the brand has already revealed that the Tata Curvv will make its debut with two new colour options – Virtual Sunrise in the Curvv.ev and Gold Essence in the Curvv ICE. Upon launch, the Tata Curvv will compete with the upcoming Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV in the Indian market.
