The next-generation KTM RC 390 has once again been spotted testing abroad. This time, some more details of the bike have been revealed.
What’s new in the KTM RC 390?
From the spy images, we can see few details. The new KTM RC sports a single-pod headlamp, slim LED indicators and a full fairing. The bike also gets fairing mounted rear view mirrors, meaty fuel tank and split seats. KTM has equipped the RC 390 with five-spoke alloys.
The upcoming RC 390 is similar to the new 390 Duke. In terms of mechanicals, it gets a new frame and subframe arrangement. There are WP-sourced USD front forks, rear monoshock and lightweight disc brakes on both ends. Braking setup is similar to the current RC 390 as well.
Powertrain of the KTM RC 390
Like the new Duke 390, the Rc 390 too will get an updated engine. This 399cc motor is an upgrade from the earlier 373cc. Hence, we can expect an increased power and torque numbers. This liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor will definitely develop higher numbers than the 373cc unit’s 43 BHP and 37 Nm.
Launch timeline of the KTM RC 390
We can expect the Austrian bikemaker to unveil the bike sometime by late 2024. This means the launch could be planned for early 2025.
KTM’s Great Ladakh Adventure Tour
KTM is inviting passionate KTM Adventure owners to embark on an iconic journey. This will take them through the breathtaking Zanskar Valley. Led by renowned master trainers Varad More and Sangram Devekar, this adventure tour is organised as part of the KTM Pro-XP program.
