Written by Parichay Malvankar

Now this is great news. The segment benchmark seems to be pushing the boundaries even further. As seen in this article, this is the all-new, new-generation, KTM 390 Duke which is slated for a debut later this year. The motorcycle seen in these images is clearly in production ready form, and it is just a matter of time before the official unveil. As we all know, the KTM 390 Duke & other lower engine capacity motorcycles are Made-in-India, and we expect our market to get these bikes first on the streets. However, the big unveil could happen overseas on some landmark occasion.

2024 KTM 390 Duke Features:

Let’s talk about each and every new feature we see here compared to the current KTM 390 Duke on sale. Firstly, the mirrors, which look far more premium than the current set. Then, the full LED headlamp. It looks more aggressive, with a new LED DRL signature for a distinct look. This look could stay unique to the 390 platform. Then one can notice the new fuel tank design. The tank shrouds are new, longer & sharper with new body decals. Even the overall fuel tank shape has been redone. The split seat setup is also very different to the model we have on sale now. There’s also an all new LED tail lamp which finally does not resemble the twin stripe design of a Pulsar. The rear fender remains sleek, but reprofiled.

Visible mechanical changes include a new USD front fork with adjustment. This could be a game changer, if launched in India. The rear monoshock is also offset mounted. The chassis is painted in orange, but only the front half. The rear subframe is possibly the most beautiful looking aspect of this bike. The wheels are different, the brakes are new, the swingarm is different and almost each and every part which makes a huge contribution, has been reworked.

2024 KTM 390 Duke Engine:

Speaking about the engine and numbers, it is mere speculation as of now. No confirm details have been leaked. However, one can notice that even the engine section looks new, which would bring to the table improved performance. Expect an even advanced set of electronics on the new Duke to set a new benchmark. The bike could also possible see changes in the weight & weight balance, which could result in a better handling motorcycle.

Currently, the KTM 390 Duke comes with a 373.27cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder motor which puts out 42.9 BHP of peak power and 37 Nm of peak torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox coupled to a slipper assist clutch.
