2023 Toyota Vellfire luxury MPV launched at in India at INR 1.20 crore

Toyota has launched the 4th-gen Vellfire in India. The luxury MPV will be offered in two variants – Hi and VIP. The prices are set at INR 1,19,90000 and INR 1,29,90,000 respectively (ex-showroom).

Based on Toyota’s latest TNGA-K platform the new Vellfire is an imposing vehicle. The van is a tad short of 5 metres in length. Upfront, the giant 6-slat grille dominates the fascia. Toyota has equipped the Vellfire with updated LED headlamps, new front bumper and healthy amount of chrome. Notably, the bumpers now have vertical vents in them.

Customers can choose from three paint options. – These are Platinum Pearl White, Jet Black and Precious Metal. Meanwhile, the interiors can be chosen amongst Sunset Brown, Neutral Beige or Black.

Coming to the insides, we can see a large 14-inch touchscreen. It gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and plays music via a 15-speaker JBL sound system. Those opting for the Executive Lounge will additionally get a 14-inch rear seat entertainment screen. The 2nd row seats come with massage function and a remote for power control with pre-set modes. Other premium features include sun blinds along with separately opening moonroof shades.

Powertrain of the Toyota Vellfire

The new Vellfire comes with a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine. It is supported by a hybrid system. The combined output of the MPV is 190 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 240 Nm @ 4,300-4,500 rpm. This large luxury MPV is claimed to offer an impressive 19.28 km/h fuel economy.

Safety Features of the Toyota Vellfire

The Toyota Vellfire comes with a host of safety features. These include six airbags, VSC, Panoramic View Monitor, Parking Assist Alert and Hill Assist Control. The MPV also comes bundled with Toyota Safety Sense. This gets features like Pre-Collision Safety System, Lane Trace Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Adaptive High Beam LED Headlamps and Blind Spot Monitor.
