Written by Kanad Kalasur

Just a few days back, Toyota had released the first teaser image of the next generation Innova Hycross. Now a leaked 3D render reveals the design of the body shell of the MPV.

New details of the Toyota Innova Hycross

The image reveals some new details. One of the major ones is the fact that there is a large cut-out in the roof for what appears to be a panoramic sunroof. The car gets an upright front fascia with a hexagonal grille with the T badge in the middle, a bonnet with crease lines that extend into the shoulder of the MPV, and multiple cuts and creases on the side.

The fuel filler is located on the left side. While the first and second row occupants get a good glass area, the third row occupants will have to contend with a smaller triangular window. The front bumper gets triangular-shaped fog lamp housings, while the wrap around headlamps get L-shaped inserts. The grille gets a black trim on the top, which could be a part of the bonnet rather than the grille.

Toyota is expected to offer features like a 360-degree camera, sunroof, wireless charging, and even an ‘ottoman function’ for the 2nd-row captain seats. It will also get a large touchscreen infotainment system.

Toyota Innova Hycross launch in India

Based on the Toyota TNGA-C Platform, the Innova Hycross will get a monocoque architecture with a front-wheel drive layout. It will be offered with a choice of petrol or petrol-hybrid powertrain options. In India, Toyota and Maruti will both sell this car, just like the Grand Vitara / Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Brezza / Urban Cruiser and Baleno / Glanza. It will be sold alongside the current generation Innova Crysta petrol.
