2023 Skoda Kodiaq SUV revealed

After teasing us with the design sketches, Skoda has finally unveiled the 2023 Kodiaq SUV. The SUV will first go on sale in the European markets before being brought into India sometime in 2024.

2023 Skoda Kodiaq : More Details

In terms of dimensions, the new Kodiaq is 4,750 mm long, which is an increase of 61 mm. That said, the width and the wheelbase have remained unchanged from the outgoing model.

On the outside, the new Kodiaq is more of an evolution than an all-new design. The front end gets a new grille, LED headlamps while the rear comes with new LED lights and a connected lightbar across them.

Skoda has refreshed the interiors as well on the new Kodiaq. The SUV now gets a two-tone dashboard with a large 13-inch touchscreen infotainment in the middle. The driver gets a dual-spoke steering wheel and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster.

Skoda is offering the new Kodiaq in both 5 and 7-seat configurations. ADAS is also being offered on the SUV.

Powertrain of the 2023 Skoda Kodiaq

the Czech carmaker plans to offer 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre turbo petrols and a 2.0-litre diesel on the Kodiaq SUV. The former will be offered in hybrid and mild-hybrid options.

For the entry level model, Skoda will offer the 1.5-litre engine in a 150 HP avatar. This will be paired with a mild-hybrid system as well. A 7-speed DSG gearbox will be offered as standard.

The same engine will power the Kodiaq iV plug-in hybrid. The 1.5-litre TSI mill is paired with a 25.7 kWh battery. The total system output is 204 HP. Skoda will offer a 6-speed DSG gearbox with the plug-in hybrid version of the Kodiaq. The all-electric range is expected to be 100 km.

There is also going to be an all-wheel drive version of the Kodiaq. This model will feature a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine rated at 204 HP. The Czech carmaker has paired a 7-speed DSG to this motor.

In the international markets, there will be two diesel motors on offer. The same 2.0-liter diesel will be available in two states of tune. Customers can choose from a 150 HP front wheel drive or a 193 HP all-wheel drive setup. Both of them will get 7-speed dual clutch automatics as standard.
