2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 off-Roaming video hints at imminent launch

Looks like Royal Enfield is now on the verge of launching the Himalayan 450. While the bike has been spotted multiple times in recent times, a new video released on the internet signals that the launch is imminent.

In the video, we can see rally driver CS Santosh taking the Himalayan 450 for a spin. The Indian Dakar Rally driver was seen riding the adventure bike on a trail at good speed. We can see the bike tackle multiple areas including dirt, mud as well as slush. There were a few jumps as well.

This might also be a hint of how the Indian bike maker wants to position the motorcycle. The Himalayan 450 could be portrayed as a better off-roader than the current Himalayan. Another factory in favour of the new Himalayan is its slim profile. The 450 appears slimmer than the current Himalayan.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 : What do we know so far?

The new Himalayan 450 is based on a new 450cc platform. This new platform will further spawn a host of other bikes. This new single cylinder engine is expected to be rated around 35-40 BHP and 40 Nm. The bike gets a 6-speed gearbox. The engine also comes with a liquid cooling option.

Coming to the features, the Himalayan 450 gets a windscreen, LED lights, upside-down front forks and rear mono shock and a stubby exhaust. There are disc brakes on both wheels along with dual channel ABS. The bike also gets a new digital instrument cluster.

Accessories for the Himalayan 450

Royal Enfield has also been testing the official accessories for the adventure bike. These include a set of aux lamps and panniers. Owners will also be able to get a top box for additional storage on the Himalayan 450. All these are expected to make the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 a good tourer as well. Apart from these, there will also be a host lifestyle and branded accessories at the time of launch.
