Maruti Suzuki at the Auto Expo 2021 introduced the Jimny to the Indian market. However, the brand did not launch the nifty off-road vehicle in India at the time. Come 2023, the Indo-Japanese brand has again brought to the country the ‘Jimny’. While we drooled on the 3-door model, last year, the market demand for the SUV appears to be more inclined towards a five-door SUV.
The Indian market not only demands a robust premium SUV but also a practical one. To meet this customer demand, Maruti Suzuki developed a five-door model of the Jimny. At the biennial event again the Jimny has now made its global debut but in the five-door avatar. For the uninitiated, Suzuki in the international market has sold close to 3.2 million units globally across 199 countries and regions, such is the demand for the Jimny.
