Maruti Suzuki has launched their Fronx crossover in the Indian market to rival the likes of Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. Although positioned as an aerodynamic SUV, this is a Baleno based crossover and prices start at INR 7.46 lakh ex-showroom. Maruti Suzuki will retail the Fronx via Nexa premium showrooms. While this new product from Maruti Suzuki now packs almost all features customers might need, a good crash test safety report card is what many are expecting from India’s leading car manufacturer.
Maruti Suzuki is also offering the Fronx with an all-inclusive monthly subscription package of INR 17,378.

Maruti Suzuki is offering the Fronx with 2 engine options, and the good thing is, the 1.0L turbo-petrol motor has made a comeback. The prices from the Fronx 1.2L variants start from INR 7.46 lakh and go all the way up to INR 9.27 lakh ex-showroom. If you plan to buy the more powerful, but smaller in engine capacity 1.0L variants, prices start at INR 9.72 lakh going all the way up to 13.13 lakh ex-showroom.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Engine & Gearbox
Powering the Fronx affordable variants is a 1.2L, K-Series, Dual Jet Dual VVT motor which produces 89.7 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque matched to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT / AGS gearbox. This motor delivers 21.79 kmpl mileage with manual gearbox and 22.89 kmpl mileage with the AMT.
Powering the higher performance Fronx is a 1.0L, turbocharged, K-Series, Boosterjet Direct Injection motor with smart hybrid tech which produces 100 PS of power and 147.6 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. This motor delivers 21.50 kmpl of mileage with the manual gearbox and 20.01 kmpl with the automatic.
Fronx Vilox Collection
As an accessories package, Maruti Suzuki will also offer the Fronx with a Vilox collection which includes premium & sporty accessories with a hint of red colour. The kit includes front & rear skid plates with red accents, side skid plate, painted garnish on the front and rear bumper, side body moulding with red accents, rear view mirror covers, new seat covers with red accents, red accents on the floor mats, door sill protector and more.
