2023 Mahindra Scorpio-N prices go up by INR 1 lakh

Mahindra and Mahindra launched its Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV about six months ago. Now Mahindra has hiked the prices of its flagship SUV by up to 1 lakh on its various models. The price increase is a result of its competitors increasing their prices and rises in input costs along with other factors. The Mahindra Scorpio-N hit the market at a starting price of INR 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) last year.

And now, several of the Mahindra Scorpio-N models have received a price hike. This price hike ranges from INR 15,000 to up to INR 1 lakh. Scorpio’s Z8 4WD variant has received the maximum price hike of INR 1.01 lakh and now it retails at a price tag of INR 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The Z8 L 4WD variant with seven seats and automatic transmission now gets a price tag of INR 24.05 lakh (ex-showroom). This hike in Scorpio-N variants is applicable for both diesel and petrol trims.

Scorpio-N Key Highlights

The Scorpio-N is available in five trims namely, Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8 L. Scorpio-N is positioned above the previous generation model, which is rebranded as the Scorpio Classic. All variants of the Scorpio-N come with a 7-seat configuration. Meanwhile, the top-spec Z8 L variant is available with an optional 6-seat layout featuring captain seats in the second row.

The SUV gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, an electric sunroof, a rearview camera, cruise control and wireless charging.

The Scorpio-N is available with two engine options. These are a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 198 BHP / 380 Nm and a 2.2-litre diesel producing 173 BHP / 400 Nm. Transmission options include both manual and automatic in form of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.

The SUV also gets all-wheel drive with Mahindra’s 4 explorer terrain management system with low range and four terrain modes.
