Engine options of the 2023 Hyundai Verna
Hyundai is offering two engine options with the verna. These include a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre NA petrol. The Korean carmaker has offered a choice of 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT with the former, while the 1.5 NA will be offered with a 6-speed manual or an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).
Further, Hyundai has also said that all these engines are RDE-complaint as well as E20 fuel ready.
What do we know so far about the 2023 Hyundai Verna?
The 2023 Verna comes with a wide front grille, slim headlamps on both sides and the Sensuous Sportiness design theme. The Verna now gets a coupe-like roofline and similar tail lamps as of the Elantra. The beltline of the car is now straighter than the outgoing version. It looks slightly bigger as well from the outgoing car.
Earlier spy images have confirmed the presence of ADAS technology. If not on all the variants, at least the top-end would feature the safety system. We can clearly see the front radar sensor for the ADAS system on the bumper of the car. Thanks to ADAS technology, it will be the second car in the segment after Honda City to get features like adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, frontal collision warning, etc.
On the inside, there will be two screens on the dashboard. One of these is the touchscreen infotainment system while the second is for the driver’s instrumentation cluster.
