Hyundai has recently disclosed about the new Exter SUV. The SUV will be positioned below the Venue. The Korean carmaker has plans to launch the car on July 10. The Exter will head against the likes of the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.
What’s new on the inside of the Hyundai Exter?
The Exter comes with a typical Hyundai dashboard. There are dual screens on a rectangular shaped unit. These are the driver information display and the touchscreen infotainment unit. We can also spot some physical buttons on the infotainment unit.
The driver gets a 3-spoke steering wheel. It houses buttons on both sides. One set of these appear to be cruise control buttons. The instrument cluster supports multiple languages and there appears to be an option to change it to Marathi as well. The Exter will also come with dual dashcams, burglar alarm and an electric sunroof.

On the outside, the new 2023 Hyundai Exter gets H -shaped LED DRLs. They are located below the bonnet shut line. Then, there are the projector headlamps with chrome accents in a square shape. The bumper houses plenty of horizontal lines while the bonnet is a typical SUV style flat bonnet.
Hyundai also offers body cladding all around, giving the Exter a beefy SUV look. There are LED turn indicators on the ORVMs while the A & B pillar blacked out with a little black on the C pillar as well.
Powertrain details : Hyundai Exter
As the Exter shares its platform with the Grand i10 NIOS and the Aura sedan, it is likely to share the powertrain options with them. Hence it will get a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine develops 83 HP and 114 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or an AMT unit. The Exter will also come in a CNG option with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
