Ford has unveiled the new 2023 Ford Endeavour in the international market. The American brand markets Endeavour as the Everest in the Australian market, where the brand has taken the covers off the new-generation SUV. The new Everest is not only bigger and better on the outside but also technologically advanced on the inside.

Ford Everest – Platform and Capabilities

The new Ford Everest is based on the Ford Ranger pick-up platform and features a body on a ladder platform. Compared to the previous Ford Everest, the new version is +50 mm wider in the track. The new SUV also comes with enhanced capabilities. For example, the new Everest is capable of towing 3,500 kg and comes with an integrated trailer brake controller as an option.

The SUV also gets two functional tow hooks at the front. Offroading features include a rear locking differential, selectable off-road drive modes and a water wading capability of 800mm. The Everest also comes with a dedicated Tow/Haul drive mode to optimize gear shift timing that is able to maintain ideal power delivery and engine braking. Ford also offers a camera to help owners guide Everest into position for trailer hookups.

Ford Everest – Powertrain

Powering the Everest is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder bi-turbo diesel engine. The second option is a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel. Both engines will come with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The brand will offer a two-wheel drive and a permanent four-wheel-drive option depending on the variant. The 4WD model features an electronically controlled on-demand two-speed electromechanical transfer case.

Ford Everest – Features

The Ford Everest comes with features such as a C-shaped LED DRL and stacked projector headlamps. The imposing front end consists of a large grille with chrome accents and an aggressive front bumper. The Everest also come with an upright rear end with segmented LED taillights and bold EVEREST badging. The SUV also comes with 10.2-inch portrait-oriented infotainment screen with up to 12-inches in top-spec variants and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The top variants also get a 12.4-inch digital display.

Ford Everest – India Launch

Currently, Ford has not revealed if the brand is likely to bring Everest/Endeavour in the new avatar to the Indian market. But after Ford packed up in India, rumours were that the American brand will bring the SUV to the Indian market through the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route. Pricing and availability details for the international markets will be available soon.
