Written by Nizam Shaikh

Classic Legends, the company that resurrected the Jawa Motorcycles brand in the Indian market, has now brought back to life the Yezdi brand as well. The Mahindra-backed company offered three products on the Jawa brand, and in a similar fashion, three products have been launched under the Yezdi moniker as well. However, the three products are spread across the segments targeting a wider audience and are more about offering options across categories. Yezdi offers an Adventure, a Scrambler and a Cruiser motorcycle under its flag. While the Adventure and Cruiser motorcycles are not very new to the Indian market, the Scrambler is a niche product for India, especially in the entry-level segment.

Yezdi Scrambler – Price and Colours

The Yezdi Scrambler comes with a starting price of INR 2,04,900 ex-showroom. The entry-level model comes with the Fire Orange colour. The Yelling Yellow and the Outlaw Olive colour options are priced at INR 2,06,900 ex-showroom. The top-spec Rebel Red, Mean Green and Midnight Blue come with a price tag of INR 2,10,900 ex-showroom.

Yezdi Scrambler – Design and Features

The Yezdi Scrambler comes with rebellious off-road styling featuring a high-mount fender on the front and a bench seat. The bike comes with rounded LED headlamps, LED indicators and LED taillamps. The Scrambler features a muscular fuel tank and a sleek tail section. Along with this, the Scrambler also gets a wide handlebar and easy riding ergonomics.

Yezdi offers an off-set full digital instruments cluster with a flyscreen that integrates well with the unit. The brand also offers handlebar-mounted USB and Type C charging points and functionalities like a trip, distance to empty, time, ABS mode and gear indicator. The Scrambler also comes with Road, Off-Road and Rain riding modes as standard.

Yezdi Scrambler – Technical Specifications

Powering the Scrambler is a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. The motor produces 29.1 PS of power and 28.2 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The Scrambler comes with twin upswept exhausts and rides on a double cradle chassis. The suspension offers 150mm travel on the front and 130mm travel on the rear with twin shocks.

This helps the Scrambler get a ground clearance of 200mm but still comes with an approachable saddle height of 800mm. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked rims shod in 100/90 front and 140/70 rear tyres. The Yezdi Scrambler comes with 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. The bike tips the scales at 182 kgs and comes with a 12.5-litre fuel tank.
