2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition launched at INR 1,41,300

After launching MotoGP Editions of the MT-15 V2.0, R15M and Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid, Yamaha India has finally launched the 2022 Aerox 155 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition in India. The Japanese brand unveiled the maxi-sports scooter at the start of August this year. However, back then, Yamaha India did not reveal the prices. But now, we have the prices as well. The 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition comes with a sticker price of INR 1,41,300 ex-showroom.

The new launch is also a part of Yamaha India’s ‘Call of the Blue’ brand campaign. The Japanese bikemaker’s current product range testifies to Yamaha’s commitment to offering two-wheelers that live up to the global spirit of Yamaha Racing. In order to deepen its connection amongst passionate MotoGP fans and customers, Yamaha will continue to offer MotoGP-inspired editions going ahead as well.

2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition – Highlights

The new edition of the Aerox 155 draws inspiration from the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP YZF-M1 race bike. Thus, it gets an all-black colour treatment along with Yamaha MotoGP branding on the visor, front apron, front mudguard and side panels. The same branding is also present on the maxi-sports scooter’s ‘X’ Centre Motif.

Apart from the aesthetic changes, the Monster Energy MotoGP Edition remains mechanically the same. The Aerox 155 uses a 155cc liquid-cooled engine 4-stroke SOHC 4-valve engine. The engine is matched to a CVT transmission and features Yamaha’s Blue Core technology. Like the YZF-R15 and MT-15 V2.0, it also gets Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The Aerox 155 makes 15 PS at 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm.

The Aerox 155 also comes with a host of features. Key features include Single-Channel ABS, Bluetooth-enabled Y-Connect App, LED headlight and taillight, external fuel lid and 24.5-litre under-seat storage. For better handling, the Aerox 155 also rides on 14-inch wheels and a wide 140-section rear tyre.
