2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 Launched at INR 8.95 lakh

Triumph India has announced the launch of the brand new Tiger Sport 660 in the Indian market. The brand already commenced bookings on the Tiger Sport 660 in December 2021, following the global launch of the adventure touring motorcycle in October 2021. Enthusiasts can book the new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 at the price of INR 50,000 from the nearest Triumph dealership or through the brand’s online sales channels.

Triumph Tiger Sport 660 – Price and Colours

The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 will be available in 3 colour options – Lucerne Blue & Sapphire Black, Graphite & Saphire Black and Korosi Red & Graphite. The motorcycle comes with a price tag of INR 8.95 ex-showroom (Introductory). At this price, the Tiger Sport 660 is one of the most affordable models for the iconic British brand. The brand also reveals that the Tiger Sport 660 comes with a 16,000 km /12 months service interval adding to the customer’s ease. The motorcycle is also available with 40+ dedicated accessories that come with a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty. 

Triumph Tiger Sport 660 – Engine Specifications

Powering the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is a 660cc liquid-cooled, 12 valves, DOHC, inline three-cylinder engine. The triple engine comes with a 240-degree firing order and multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection with electronic throttle control. The motor produces 81 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque. The brand offers a stainless steel three into one header system with a low single sided stainless steel silencer as standard for sharp yet sonorous performance. The engine is matched to a 6-speed transmission unit with a wet multi-plate slipper clutch.

Triumph Tiger Sport 660 – Chassis, Suspension and Brakes

The Tiger Sport 660 rides on a tubular steel perimeter frame with a twin-sided, fabricated steel swingarm. The bike features 41mm upside-down Showa separate function cartridge forks on the front with 150mm of travel. On the rear, the motorcycle gets a Showa monoshock RSU, with remote hydraulic preload adjustment offering 150mm wheel travel. The motorcycle comes with Nissin twin 310mm discs on the front and a single 255mm Nissin disc brake unit on the rear with dual-channel ABS. The Tiger Sport 660 comes with an approachable 835 mm of seat height, 1418 mm of wheelbase, 17.2-litre large fuel tank and 206 kg of wet weight.

Triumph Tiger Sport 660 – Design and Features

The Triumph Tiger 660 comes with a contemporary adventure touring design language. The motorcycle is based on the Triumph Trident 660; however, the front fascia is completely new. The motorcycle comes with twin split headlights and a tall touring style windscreen. The bike also features a muscular fuel tank and a sleek tail section with contoured taillights. The bike also comes with teardrop mirrors, muscular radiator shrouds and fork protectors.

In terms of features, the Tiger Sport 660 comes with all-LED lighting and also a first-in-class multi-functional instrument with a TFT display. The dashboard features a Triumph connectivity system with turn-by-turn navigation, GoPro control, and phone and also music interaction. The motorcycle also comes with Road and Rain riding modes with integrated throttle and traction control settings.
