2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 fully revealed with GT & Rally variants

Iconic British brand Triumph has pulled the covers off the much-anticipated Triumph Tiger 1200 in the international market. The brand has revealed that the all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 line-up is one of the most ambitious projects in Triumph’s history, and offers “Best of All World’s.” Triumph also revealed that the new motorcycle is representing a transformation for the Tiger 1200 family in terms of weight, performance and capability. The new bike is also focused on delivering all the advantages to the rider.

The new Triumph Tiger 1200 family builds on the previous generation’s strengths. The bike comes with a triple engine platform and a shaft drive set-up, offering practicality and long-distance comfort. However, Triumph has made more than a few enhancements for the all-new Tiger 1200. The new bike comes with a Triumph T-Plane Crankshaft setup, a lightweight chassis and advanced electronics package. The brand claims that the new Tiger 1200 is the most agile and capable large capacity adventure bike money can buy.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Variants

Triumph is offering the new Tiger 1200 in two main variants – GT and Rally. The variant line helps different riders suit the adventures and get a more tailored machine. The GT is the road-focused variant and comes in three trims – Tiger 1200 GT (Standard with 20-litre fuel tank), Tiger 1200 GT Pro (20-litre fuel tank) and Tiger GT Explorer (30-litre fuel tank). The GT series comes with cast aluminium wheels in a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear setup. On the other hand, the Tiger 1200 Rally family includes – Tiger 1200 Rally Pro (20-litre fuel tank) and Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer (30-litre fuel tank). The Rally series is tailored for all-terrain adventure and comes with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoke wheel setup.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Design Highlights

The new Triumph Tiger 1200 comes with a slender design language and an adventure focused stance. The brand is offering the bike with new bodywork, a new twin radiator design and a minimal new exhaust. The all-new bodywork offers a chiselled look exposing some of the running gear while protecting most elements from the weather. The motorcycle also retains the timeless Tiger adventure design details such as the beak, high-mounted exhaust, a tall windscreen and muscular fuel tank. The bike comes with a slimmer waist and a compact overall design.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Ergonomics

The Triumph Tiger 1200 also comes with new rider ergonomics designed for a comfortable and stable ride. The brand offers an upright handlebar, scooped seat, mid-set footpegs, that also allow easy out-of-saddle riding. Furthermore, the rider is also able to seat height, which can be lowered even further with an accessory low seat.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Technical Specifications

Powering the 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 is a new 1160cc triple engine. The new engine comes with dual radiators and a unique T-plane crank. The uneven firing order sets a new benchmark for engine character and produces 150 PS of power and 130 Nm of torque. This is 9 PS more than the previous generation and also claims to be 14 PS more than the closest shaft-driven competitor.

Triumph offers the new Tiger 1200 with a lightweight frame and a bolt-on rear aluminium subframe with pillion hangers. The bike also features a lighter and stronger ‘tri-link’ swingarm. The motorcycle rides on advanced Showa semi-active suspension tuned for maximum road and off-road capability. Braking power comes from Brembo Stylema brake callipers equipped with optimised cornering ABS with IMU.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Electronics Package

In terms of electronics, the brand offers an all-new Triumph Blind Spot Radar System, developed in partnership with Continental. The bike also comes with 7-inch TFT instruments with integrated My Triumph Connectivity System, optimised Cornering Traction Control with IMU, 6-riding modes, an all-new keyless system, including ignition, steering lock and fuel cap. Triumph also offers LED lighting with DRL, plus Adaptive Cornering Lights, Triumph Shift Assist, Heated grips and seats, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Hill Hold system.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Accessories

Triumph offers 50+ Genuine Triumph Accessories for the new Tiger 1200. This includes hard luggage systems developed in partnership with Givi. A comprehensive protection range, heated seating options, and new Triumph Sena Bluetooth communication systems.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 – Warranty and Service

The brand is offering the adventure motorcycle with a high three years unlimited mileage warranty. The bike also comes with the option to extend the warranty further. The motorcycle also comes with high service intervals – 10,000 miles (16,000 km) / 12 months.
