Written by Rohit Tonapi

It is no secret that Tata Motors is readying to launch the long-range version of the Nexon EV. Now, the company has officially released teaser videos for it. We also now know its name – Nexon EV Max. Tata Motors will launch the new version of Nexon EV on 11th May 2022. However, according to reports, some dealerships have already started taking bookings.

The new Nexon EV Max will sit slot above the standard Nexon EV. The long-range version will likely get a 40 kWh battery that would offer more than 400 km of range. In addition to this, it could also come with a 6.6 kW AC charger. The electric motor could also get a higher output. The company could offer additional features such as cruise control, ESC and rear disc brakes.

Tata Nexon EV Max Teasers – What Can We See?

The exterior of the car seems to remain largely similar to the regular Nexon EV. However, the short video teasers do show one difference. The Nexon EV Max gets new 5-spoke alloy wheels. Rumours were that the update would bring full LED headlights. However, we see the same projector headlight setup in the teaser videos.

The interior is where it gets more significant updates. The Nexon EV Max gets a new illuminated drive mode selector. The rotary dial also gets a knurled finish and a screen on top which shows the selected drive mode. Looking closely, the teasers also reveal it features an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold. Behind the drive mode selector, we see two buttons with battery icons. These buttons indicate the car will get adjustable regenerative braking levels. The right side of the rotary dial has buttons for Eco and Sport modes.

Another teaser video shows a couple being blown away by the acceleration of the electric SUV. This teaser also reveals the Nexon EV Max will continue to use the same instrument cluster.
