We have the first in-person pictures of the all-new Royal Enfield Hunter 350. Along with this, we have the complete spec sheet of the latest model from Royal Enfield. The pictures and the spec sheet come directly from its launch event in Bangkok, Thailand. The new pictures also show the Metro variant of the Hunter 350 in the Dapper Ash colour option in detail.

2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 – Powertrain

The Hunter 350 uses the same 349cc air and oil-cooled single-cylinder J-series engine from the Meteor & Classic. The engine gets a 2-valve SOHC valvetrain and electronic fuel injection as well. The 75mm bore and 85.5mm stroke makes it an under-square engine. However, this also gives it the long-stroke character and the signature Royal Enfield sound and feel. The engine produces 20.2 BHP at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The maximum engine rpm of the Hunter’s engine is 7,000 rpm. Royal Enfield has calibrated the throttle response to match the Hunter 350’s character.

As for the gearbox, Royal Enfield is using a 5-speed unit. The brand says the flat engine’s flat torque curve and the well-chosen gear ratios ensure lively performance through the gears. Furthermore, the overdrive 5th gear helps with cruising out on the highway. Additionally, the use of a primary balancer shaft reduces vibrations and fatigue on longer rides. On the other hand, the brand says its light clutch and smooth gear shifts help with in-town riding.

2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 – Chassis, Brakes & Tyres

The Hunter 350 uses a twin downtube spine frame suspended with 41mm telescopic forks up front and twin tube emulsion shock absorbers at the back. The rear shocks also offer 6-steps of preload adjustability. The front suspension has a travel of 130mm, and the rear of 102mm.

The braking setup consists of a 300mm fixed disc with a 2-piston floating calliper at the front. Meanwhile, the rear uses a 270mm disc with a single-piston floating calliper. The Dual-Channel ABS is standard on the Metro variants. The base-Retro variant makes do with Single-Channel ABS.

The Retro variant of the Hunter 350 rides on wire-spoke wheels with a 100/80-section tyre up front and a 120/80-section tyre at the back. On the other hand, the Metro variant uses alloy wheels with a 110/70-section at the front and a 140/70-section at the rear tubeless tyres.

The most compact motorcycle from Royal Enfield measures 2,055mm in length, 800mm in width and 1,055mm in height, while the wheelbase is 1,370mm. Royal Enfield has not disclosed the dry weight of the bike. However, we now know it has a wet weight of 181 kg. Meanwhile, the payload and gross vehicle weight stand at 179 kg and 360 kg, respectively. The fuel tank capacity of the Hunter 350 is 13 litres and has a ground clearance is 150.5mm. The seat height is fairly low, at 800mm. The Hunter 350’s steering lock angle of 43 degrees would also help it while navigating through city traffic.
