Maruti Suzuki has launched the new-age Baleno in the Indian market at the starting price of INR 6.35 lakh ex-showroom. The brand offers the new-age Baleno with a new design and styling as well as the latest in-car technology. The brand also boasts that since its launch in October 2015, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been a crowd favourite thanks to the liquid flow design and smart features. Maruti Suzuki also boasts that the Baleno is the first car to achieve the 1 million sales milestone in just 6 years. It was also the first hatchback to transition into the stringent BS6 norms. Now, the new-age Baleno will carry forward the legacy of the brand to new levels.

Maruti Suzuki will offer the new-age Baleno in four variants:-
- Sigma – INR 6.35 lakh (Manual)
- Delta – INR 7.19 lakh (Manual) and INR 7.69 lakh (AGS)
- Zeta – INR 8.09 lakh (Manual) and INR 8.59 lakh (AGS)
- Alpha – INR 8.99 lakh (Manual) and INR 9.49 lakh (AGS)

2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno – Design Highlights
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes with new LED headlamps with signature segmented NexTre LED DRLs. The car also comes with segmented LED taillamps and a smooth flowing design. The car also comes with NexWave front grille and dynamic 3D shoulders. The new age Baleno comes with a progressive roofline and C-shaped rear lights. The car also comes with all-new precision-cut alloy wheels. The hot hatchback also comes with subtle chrome details on the DLO area as well as the front and rear.
Just like the outside, the inside also comes with 3D styling and features wraparound shoulders on the contoured seats. The car comes with a wraparound dashboard and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The new dashboard also comes with new air-conditioning controls and features a multilayered layout. The brand also offers that new Baleno with a control-mounted steering wheel.

The new age Baleno comes with plenty of features including a few segment-first technologies. The Baleno comes with a first-in-segment heads-up display that pops out of the dashboard and offers crucial information from the speedometer, climate control etc. This helps to improve the safety of the occupants as well as other road users. Another first-in-segment feature is a 360-degree camera. The new camera system enables the driver to keep a close eye on the surroundings further enhancing safety.
The new Baleno also features a 9-inch (22.86-cm) High-Definition touchscreen infotainment screen. The Connected Infotainment system not only comes with Advanced Voice Assist but also with a superior acoustic experience thanks to “Surround Sense” powered by ARKAMYS. The “Suzuki Connect” also offers 40+ features including vehicle safety security, trips & driving behaviour, status-alerts, and remote operations. The Connected car also integrates Amazon Alexa devices on smartphones and smartwatches.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno – Powertrain
Powering the Baleno is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder Advanced K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine. The engine produces 88.5 hp of power and 113 Nm of torque. The engine is matched to a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional Automated Manual Transmission (AGS). The brand claims that thanks to the Idle Start-Stop technology, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has a mileage of 22.35 km/l for the manual transmission variant and 22.94 km/l for the AGS variant.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno underpins the HEARTECT platform that uses High Tensile & Ultra High Tensile Steel. The car also comes with 6 airbags driver, co-driver, side and curtain. In addition, the Baleno also comes with ESP and Hill Hold Assist as well as NEXA Safety Shield. As standard, Maruti Suzuki offers the new Baleno with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, driver & co-driver seat belt reminders, rear parking sensors & a high-speed alert system across all variants.
