Mahindra & Mahindra teases the all-new Scorpio yet again. The new Z101 Scorpio will soon make its debut, but until then, we get a final look before the unveiling. So far, we’ve seen the Scorpio undergoing road testing, testing in Leh, shooting for a TVC and detailed interior pics. Also, the latest spy shots of Scorpio showed the powertrain details stickers. And now we get a clear first glance of it in an uncamouflaged form. However, this is the second time we see the SUV uncamouflaged, the first time being during the TVC shoot.

Mahindra unveiled a teaser video about a week ago, and we found out it dubs it the “Big Daddy of SUVs”. The company also revealed that the Mahindra India Design Studio designed the SUV in Mumbai. The engineering took place at Mahindra’s state-of-the-art facilities in Mahindra Research Valley near Chennai.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio Z101 – What All Is Revealed In The Teaser?

Front

The Scorpio will get what looks like a new dark green shade. The latest teaser video gives us a look at the new grille of the SUV. The new Scorpio gets a new upright grille with six-vertical slats. Additionally, it also gets the new Mahindra logo first seen on the XUV700. A chrome strip runs at the top of the grille. To accentuate the width of the SUV, the headlights of the Scorpio feature a similar design at the top. Thus, making it look like one long chrome strip. Also visible is the grille on the lower part of the bumper, which gets a honeycomb design.

The main headlights offer a projector light for the low beam and a reflector set up for the high beam. The lower part of the headlights gets a LED turn signal indicator strip. The new LED DRLs of the Scorpio sit on the lower bumper. They have a C-shaped design and house the fog lights at their upper corner.

Side

On the side, the SUV gets a bigger glass area and squared wheel arches for a purposeful look. The window line gets an upwards kink at the end of the rear window, reminiscent of the XUV500. However, it is much smaller in Scorpio’s case. The Scorpio also gets black body cladding with silver side skid plates on the sides. There is chrome on the lower window line as well as door handles. The SUV is also seen sporting diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Rear

We don’t get a clear look at the rear of the SUV, but we do get a glimpse. The rear of the SUV will get a chrome strip connecting the two rear reflectors. The low-mounted reflector housing also has a reversing light next to it. The rear of the Scorpio, like the sides, gets a black body cladding with silver skid plates. The exhaust pipe outlet is also visible, neatly tucked under the bumper.
