Mahindra is planning to soon introduce the all-new Scorpio in the Indian market. Just like the Mahindra XUV700, the Mahindra Scorpio is also undergoing extensive testing in the Indian market. The SUV has been spied more than a few times in different parts of the country. This is because Mahindra is getting the SUV ready to tackle India’s different weather and terrains. But now, we get to see a glimpse of the interiors of the all-new Scorpio, thanks to new spy shots.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio – Interior Spied
According to spy shots, the new Mahindra Scorpio will come with a completely new dashboard. The SUV will likely offer a large touchscreen infotainment screen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Alexa integration. The new Scorpio could come with dual-zone climate control and may likely come with a high-end Sony audio system on higher-spec models. Sources also reveal that the new Scorpio will come with four-wheel drive high and low modes.
The dashboard of the new Scorpio features an upright fascia with vertical central air conditioning vents. The car will also come with centrally mounted infotainment and rotary knobs for the HVAC. The Scorpio is also likely to feature a bridge-like centre console with a rotary knob to control the infotainment. The new Mahindra Scorpio is also likely to come with a flat bottomed steering wheel and semi-digital instruments cluster. According to sources, the spied model also had captain seats in the second row.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio – Powertrain
The Mahindra Scorpio is likely to borrow the powertrains from the new XUV700. The XUV700 comes with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine. The petrol motor produces 200 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. The oil motor produces 155 PS of power and 360 Nm of torque on the MX variant. The top-of-the-line AX trim comes with a powerful 185 PS of and 420 Nm diesel motor on the manual gearbox option and 185 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque on the automatic variant.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio – Launch Timeline
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio is likely to make its market debut in the Q1 of 2022. The brand is likely to offer the SUV at a starting price of INR 10 lakh ex-showroom.
