2022 KTM RC 390 revealed with adjustable front forks & quick shifter

KTM has unveiled the all-new 2022 KTM RC 390 in the international market. The 2022 KTM RC 390 comes with an all-new design and styling, performance upgrades and lighter weight. The brand has also added the latest-generation electronics equipment on the RC 390 and given the bike new ergonomic features.

2022 KTM RC 390 – Design Highlights

The new KTM RC 390 comes with new bodywork and a new colour theme. The body style of the new KTM RC 390 draws its inspiration from the KTM RC16 MotoGP bike, and the brand has also worked extensively in the aerodynamics department. The headlamps in a new single-piece unit with multifaceted reflector LED light cluster and LED turn indicators integrated into the nose fairing.

The bike also comes with a bubble windscreen and wing mirrors. The new KTM RC 390 features a new side fairing that has been worked to channel hot engine air away from the rider and help the bike cut through the air with ease. The brand has also employed a new metal tank with a larger 13.7-litre capacity. The bike now comes with a new bolt-on subframe and a new pillion seat design.

2022 KTM RC 390 – Ergonomics

The 2022 KTM RC 390 comes with new ergonomic features such as adjustable clip-on handlebars. Riders can adjust the bar by 10mm in height and backwards and forwards for reach. The seat also comes with new technical material for grip and support. Both the rider and pillion seat comes with a new foam material that is softer than before for comfort. The bike also comes with rear-set footpegs that offer a more profound cornering effort.

2022 KTM RC 390 – Chassis, Suspension & Brakes

The KTM RC 390 now comes with a new bolt-on subframe which is 1.5 kg lighter than before. The bike also features a new front and rear suspension. The WP upside-down front suspension comes with both compression and rebound settings on the stanchions. The rear suspension gets preload and rebound settings. The motorcycle also comes with a new light brake rotor on the front, which aids in reducing the rotational weight making the bike more agile in corners. The brakes also claim to offer better brake bite than before.

2022 KTM RC 390 – Engine Specifications

Powering the KTM RC 390 is a Euro5/BS6 compliant 375cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The engine delivers 44 Hp of power and 36 Nm of torque. KTM has improved the airbox volume by 40%, enabling 11 kmph more top speed. The bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.

2022 KTM RC 390 – Features

The new KTM RC 390 comes with a full-colour TFT screen similar to the latest-generation 390 Duke and 390 Adventure. The motorcycle also features Supermoto ABS and a bi-directional quick-shifter.

Expect KTM to soon launch the RC 390 in the Indian market with a price tag closer to the INR 3 lakh mark.
