Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Planning to buy Sonet in the coming days? This piece of news is just for you. With Sonet about to complete two years in the Indian market, Kia India is gearing up to launch a special-edition Sonet X Line. The carmaker has, in fact, released a teaser to confirm the same. As per some sources, we now have a few details to share about this exciting launch from Kia. The Kia Sonet X Line will largely have a similar approach as we saw with Seltos X Line launched a year ago.

What Is The Kia Sonet X Line?

Hence similar to the Seltos X Line, the biggest distinguishing factor of the Sonet X Line is its matte graphite (grey) exterior paint shade. Additionally, the grille carries a gloss black finish with a knurled pattern. Meanwhile, the front and rear skid plates will also have a piano black finish with dark metal inserts.

The gloss black theme will also have a presence around the fog lamp garnishes, as well as the outside wing mirrors. Meanwhile, the doors, too, will get dark metal accents. The other big exterior update we have is for the 16-inch alloy wheels finished in a gloss-black shade. To add to the striking outlook, the brake callipers will wear a silver finish. On the contrary, they are done in red on the standard GT models.

On the inside, the Sonet X Line will house a new dual-tone colour scheme and a new black headliner. Additionally, the leatherette upholstery will get a new orange contrast stitching and X Line logos. Like the Seltos X Line, the Sonet X Line, too, will be based on the top-spec GTX+ trim. Thus, it will have all the bells and whistles the Sonet has to offer.

Kia Sonet X Line -Powertrain Options

The GTX+ trim comes with two engine options. First is the 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and the second is the 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine (115hp in automatic guise). Both these engines will most likely make their way onto the Sonet X Line as well. Gearbox options too will remain the same, i.e., iMT and DCT for the petrol, and manual and torque converter automatic for the diesel.
