2022 Hyundai Venue facelift fully revealed via leaked pictures

Written by Rohit Tonapi

Hyundai’s Venue is one of the best selling compact SUVs in India. The Venue offers multiple engines and transmission options in an appealing package. However, the model is seeing increased competition in recent times. The competition comes from its sibling, Sonet, as well as other models in the segment. Hence, Hyundai will soon launch a facelifted-Venue for the Indian market.

The Hyundai Venue made its global debut in India back in 2019. The model is sold in many other markets such as USA and Australia. However, Hyundai will likely unveil the facelift model in India first.

2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift – What Do We Get To See?

Thanks to leaked photos of the model, we get to see many details before its launch. The leaked images show us the top-end variant with the 1.0-litre T-GDI engine, hence the Turbo badging. The images show the car in front, side and rear as well, giving us a very clear look. At the front, the Venue will now get a much different fascia. The looks draw inspiration from the upcoming Hyundai Tucson. The model continues to use a split headlight design like the outgoing model. However, the grille is much different and gets a lot of chrome. The bumpers now also sport a faux skid plate.

On the side, the Venue looks identical to the current model. The only difference is the new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets a new taillight that extends onto the boot lid. The taillights will also get additional LED elements, thus increasing their appeal. The lower rear also gets a black insert that runs across the car’s width. At the end of this insert, house new reflectors and reverse lights. Completing the rear look is a faux silver skid plate.

2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift – Expected Powertrain

Mechanically the Venue will remain unchanged. Therefore, it will continue with two petrol and one diesel engine option. The transmission options include two manuals, a DCT and an iMT. Rumours are that the Venue may also get a 6-speed torque converter automatic like the Sonet.
